Are you looking for quick, safe and effective skin tag removal in Dublin? Then you've come to the right place. At Dundrum Clinic we use the latest pioneering techniques to make skin tags vanish in seconds.
As our advanced equipment can target precise areas of skin, we can safely eliminate even the tiniest imperfections. All while ensuring there’s no collateral damage to your skin.
Depending on your individual situation, we may use a combination of skin tag removal techniques for maximum effectiveness. Here are the most common.

Which techniques do we use?
At our clinic in Dublin we use a combination of the latest techniques to safely remove skin tags.
- The CryoPen is a high-pressure freezing application that banishes skin tags and other skin imperfections in seconds.
- We use electrolysis to perform skin tag removal using the Hyrefactor 2000. This involves sending a current of electricity through a tiny needle, which is then applied to the target skin tag.
- We use the shave excision technique to remove unwanted moles. After administering a tiny amount of anaesthetic to numb the mole, we then use the Dermablade to literally 'shave' the mole down.
- We also use a CO2 laser to minimise the risk of leaving scars and marks on your skin after the treatment.
Frequently asked questions
We use a combination of these techniques for maximum effectiveness.
WITH THE CRYOPEN:
CryoPen skin tag removal uses a high-pressure jet of nitrous oxide to destroy unwanted skin tissue. This process can eliminate the smallest of skin imperfections. As the CryoPen can target such precise areas of skin, the surrounding tissues are left intact.
The procedure itself is straightforward. Firstly, our fully-trained practitioner selects the correct applicator of the CryoPen. They then point the CryoPen at the imperfection to be treated and freeze the blemish away. The treatment lasts a matter of seconds.
WITH ELECTROLYSIS:
The electrolysis method involves sending small waves of electricity through a tiny needle. When the needle is applied to the skin imperfection, it kills the unwanted skin cells in the target era. They will naturally generate as healthy skin cells.
WITH THE DERMABLADE:
We also use something known as shave excision to remove moles from the skin. How it works is simple. Firstly, we administer a tiny injection of aesthetic to numb the area around the mole. Then, we use a special instrument called the Dermablade to file down the mole so that it's level with the skin. After cleaning and covering the treated area, you simply wait until it has healed to see the results.
- We may also use a CO2 laser as part of the procedure to minimise the risk of scarring.
Almost everyone is suitable for our skin tag removal service in Dublin. At your initial consultation we’ll make sure it is the right treatment for you before proceeding. We'll also decide whether we need to combine different techniques for maximum effectiveness.
CRYOPEN
After the procedure, the target area of skin will start to develop a crust (scab). This will shed within 7-10 days. In this time you should be sure not to pick at the scab, as this could disrupt the healing process. Depending on the size of the treated area, you’ll usually find that the imperfection disappears within 1-4 weeks.
ELECTROLYSIS
The electrolysis procedure takes as little as 30 minutes to complete, and many patients start seeing results after 3-4 sessions.
SHAVE EXCISION
After the procedure the target area of skin will take around 1-2 weeks to heal.
CryoPen cryotherapy is a virtually painless procedure. You may feel a mild sensation during the treatment, a bit like a pen being pressed against your skin. But in general there’s absolutely nothing to worry about.
Electrolysis involves a needle and a small electric current, so you're likely to feel a jolt and a prick during the procedure. However, it is not considered to be a painful procedure. If you have a low pain threshold then we'll be happy to provide you with a special numbing cream.
In the first few minutes or hours after the treatment, you may experience some mild stinging. You may also experience some redness or soreness. However, most users will feel nothing.
A few days after the treatment a scan is likely to form around the treated area. Some people may also notice that the treated area becomes darker or lighter. This is a completely normal part of the natural healing process and will only last a few days.
A single skin tag removal treatment at our Dublin clinic starts from just €90. In most cases one treatment will be enough, however some patients may require an additional treatment to fully remove the blemish.
