Frequently asked questions
Laser skin resurfacing is exactly what the name suggests. It carefully removes the outer layers of your skin, which stimulates the production of new skin cells during the healing process. This can improve the appearance of skin imperfections such as wrinkles or fine lines, but can also make your skin look more youthful and fresher than before.
PicoSure is a laser treatment that has been approved by the FDA as a safe and effective treatment, meaning the benefits outweigh the risk for the consumer.
The device converts laser energy into short bursts that penetrate your skin cells, stimulating the production of collagen in your body. Collagen is a protein vital for maintaining the firmness and smoothness of your skin.
Because the PicoSure laser doesn't generate much heat, it's generally seen as one of the most comfortable laser treatments. The procedure is almost pain-free and has little to no downtime afterwards.
It can be used as an effective form of tattoo removal as well as skin resurfacing.
The Pixel laser has been approved by the FDA as a safe and effective laser skin resurfacing treatment.
The Pixel uses Er:Yag laser technology to selectively penetrate deep into the skin. Surrounding tissues are not impacted.
The treatment targets tiny zones which trigger natural healing, encouraging new, healthy skin to grow. It can reduce the appearance of acne scars, age spots, uneven skin tone, wrinkles, and fine lines.
It is a type of fractional laser, which means it only breaks down certain parts of the surface of the skin. An ablative laser removes the entire surface layer of skin. This means there is generally less downtime than with ablative laser treatments.

The PicoSure and Pixel work slightly differently.
The PicoSure laser converts laser light energy into short, controlled bursts that stimulate the production of collagen in your body. It simply stimulates your body's natural processes.
On the other hand, the Pixel laser breaks down areas of the surface of your skin. When this happens, your skin regenerates new, healthy skin cells in place of the old layer.
Both treatments are known for being almost pain-free and with little to no downtime.
PicoSure
You’ll start to notice results right after the first treatment. The number of treatments needed and the time each treatment takes will depend on your specific skin problem and the size of the area to be treated.
Treatments are typically spaced two to six weeks apart for pigmented lesions and three to four weeks apart for acne scars and wrinkles.
Pixel
We recommend a series of two to four treatments, depending on skin indications and desired results, usually at four-week intervals.
PicoSure
A package of four resurfacing treatments starts from just €700. Please speak to us for exact prices for your requirements.
Pixel
One session with the Pixel laser costs €220. If you purchase three sessions then you get the fourth one free.
